Product Introduction:
Risk Reactor's Clear Fluorescent Blue Dye is stable, light fast and can be used with a variety of solvents. It is used in security inks, paints, coatings, glue, adhesives, tracing, and other applications. Our IFWB-C0 Clear Blue is used in numerous applications and is one item to always include with your order. Clients also use this dye to add to other pigmented mediums to add depth, color, brightness, or a dual effect. For Non-Destructive Testing purposes the IFWB-C0 is the workhorse used by it or in addition to other colorants. This is a light colored powder that when dissolved completely it is absolutely clear or invisible to the naked eye and will show an intense bright color under Risk Reactor Black Light. The color can shift from blue to white depending on the concentration in your medium.

Fugitive Glue Application: Simply add this dye to any glue or adhesive that the dye will be soluble in. This is a very strong fluorescent dye, so a little will go a long way. The clearer the adhesive or glue, the less you will need to see it. Final loadings of the IFWB-C0 Clear Blue Fluorescent Dye can be very low. Risk Reactor also carries solvent-based additives, such as product codes DFSB-C0, among many others. See our section: Fluorescent Dyes subsection: Oil and Solvent Based Dyes for more information.

Coating Coverage: IFWB-C0 Clear Blue Fluorescent Dye provides an excellent means to determine coverage of either conventional or UV cure coatings. Small amounts act as a tracer, which when viewed under a Risk Reactor Black Light, indicating whether or not a uniform coating coverage has been achieved. This is especially useful for clear coatings, where coverage can be difficult to determine by conventional means.

Leak Application: Our Clear Blue Fluorescent Dye has been used to invisibly trace leaks all over the world. You can use this in numerous ways, including simply adding this to a water-based medium needing to be traced. This item is great for its unique ability to be invisible in regular light and only show its color under Risk Reactor’s Black Lights.

Identification: IFWB-C0 Clear Blue Fluorescent Dye may be used in printing inks to facilitate the quick identification of security bonds, and also for a safeguard against forgeries, such as bank notes.

How to Use:
IFWB-C0 is widely used in a variety of industries from tracing leaks, fugitive glue, conformal coatings, to security inks. Basically, whatever water based medium you add this additive too it will cause the medium to glow under black light. Usually you would enter the IFWB-C0 Clear Blue Fluorescent Dye directly into one of your components in your medium. The color will show up with an intense bright response under Risk Reactor Black Light. The color can shift from blue to white depending on the concentration in your medium. White color being a higher loading of dye while a blue color is a low loading. We recommend using Risk Reactor Black Lights to view the dye for inspection, effect or manufacturing line.

How much IFWB-C0 Clear Blue tracer to use? This will depend on your exact application. Testing is always recommended in your environment for best results.

How do I just see the invisible effect? To see the effect, get a cup of water in a clean container. Put the Risk Reactor Black Light over the cup and turn on. After you have the set up add one drop to the water. The water will instantly change to a wonderful blue color. Remove the Black Light to see the water change from blue back to absolutely clear.

Risk Reactor's tracers are very concentrated. In order to achieve the best results for your particular project, testing in your system is recommended. With any tracing application, testing the system for UV responsiveness prior usage is optimum. Some fluids naturally fluoresce and doing this test will prevent false readings. The factors involved are as follows: 1. Control of the ambient light. 2. Strength and type of the black light. 3. Concentration of the dye in your medium. 4. Color of the liquid. Adjusting these factors will improve results.

Concentration of the dye in your medium will be up to you and the effect you are trying to achieve. For clear liquid tracing you can have a very low final loading. Naturally, if there is any other colorant in the medium or if you want a brighter color under black light than you will need to add more IFWB-C0.
