Police scientists can study and analyze many kinds of clues with our black lights and multi-wavelength LED flash lights. Tiny particles, too small to be noticed under ordinary light may be revealed under black light and multi-wavelength LEDs. To aid in identifying the criminal, black lights have been used in a manifold of ways. Mineral characteristics of the soil in the area of the crime may be identified by its fluorescent qualities and compared with soil from suspect’s shoes or tires. There are countless of naturally fluorescent materials including body secretions such urine and semen. Rodent urine is also fluorescent and our black lights are used to aid in inspecting food shipments for contamination. See that section for more information.

Normal, white fluorescent powders dusted on money, securities, and other valuable documents may be used to identify the thief by examining his hands under black light. Similar techniques have been used to identify persons who ring in false fire alarms, or who misuse or tamper with documents.

The applications for use of fluorescent material and black light are endless. Some organizations use Risk Reactor’s Metal Marking Ink to mark car parts before servicing. Having the parts marked with invisible fluorescent (practically non-removable) markings allow the them to know whether the car repair shop is not ripping them off.

Use the invisible marking pens to mark products with an invisible blue for quick identification. Tag documents, cars, parts, tools, anything you can think of. Use these in conjunction with our line of all purpose Black Lights.
