Risk Reactor's new longer glowing phosphorescent products allow you to bring industrial grade safety into your home. These products (everything but the oil based paints) are non-toxic and non-radioactive but glow for hours on a single charge. These products are charged via any ambient light, such as sunlight, fluorescent light, and incandescent light fixtures.

You can use our luminous products to increase your safety around the home. You never know when a power outage or fire will happen and these products can help save lives by illuminating exits, hallways, doors, and stairs. Glow in the dark products can also be used for everyday living. Bathrooms can be illuminated allowing you to see where things are.

You Need:   

1. Luminous materials such as our glow paint or glow vinyl.

Solvent Based Long After Glow Paints (CP2-06 Invisible Yellow-Green) This paint will glow for 10-90 hours. It is an air dry lacquer or can come into any other solvent based medium you choose. If you want to create your own solvent based paint, use PPSB-06 pigment for best results. You can get this paint in other colors but they will not glow as long.

Water Based Long After Glow Paints (CP1-06 Invisible Yellow-Green, CP1-10 Invisible Turquoise, and CP1-00 Invisible Blue) Each of these paints will glow for 8-15 hours.

Water Based Short After Glow Paints CPZN1-06. It is yellow green in color and 99 percent of the glow is lost in the first hour. This paint should not be applied in areas of direct sunlight.

Long After Glow Vinyl yellow green pressure sensitive (sticky on one side) vinyl that can be applied to just about any surface. Glows for hours, rechargeable and is stable in direct sunlight situations.

Short After Glow Vinyl PMSV yellow green pressure sensitive (sticky on one side) vinyl that can be applied to just about any surface. 99 percent of the glow of this material is lost in the first hour. It is rechargeable but not can be exposed to sunlight.

2. Applicator such as a brush, roller, or spray gun. If using a spray gun you will need to use a stencil for best results. Rollers and brushes are easier but leave brush marks, while the spray gun will not.

Directions:

Plan where you will paint before painting. The location of your luminous paint will be very important in times of emergency. Paint areas where you will need to see such as stair cases, exits, fire extinguishers etc. Paint areas low to the ground because in situations where smoke is present you will need to have the lighting close to the floor.

For non-emergency lighting such as bathrooms, hall ways, closets, etc. use the luminous materials to outline potential problem items. Example, outline toilets, sinks, and tubs so that you do not have to turn the light on during the night.

Tape off area to be painted. If you are using solvent based paints keep area well ventilated and/or wear breathing protection. In areas where there will be a lot of friction apply a clear over coat to protect it.

Glow in the Dark Oil Based Paint

These are rechargeable, Glow in the Dark paints that can be used inside and outside. The CP2-10 and the CP2-06 are the longest glowing paints and the most popular for that reason. Our CP2 series paints are used extensively where a hard, durable glow in the dark paint is needed. Safety, fishing, and the art industry all use these paints to enhance.

Fast Glow in the Dark Paint

This Paint is used in making Shadow Walls, Exhibits, and in other Applications where you need a Glow Paint that absorbs and emits light quickly. Our Fast Glow Paint and Pigment are currently used as Safety Grade. As more and more people understand the potential of our long glowing paints (> 3 Days After a Single Charge), new codes and laws may be implemented to incorporate this New Self-Emitting Light Technology. You can also use this paint to create luminous surfaces that you can “write” on with any light source. Something you should see to believe, it is a really neat effect! Use our BKEY, BKEYO UV LED Keychains as luminous light source “pen” or our Black Lights to charge it. Use any light to create the shadow effect.
