Invisible marking means the application of fluorescent materials that cannot be easily seen in normal daylight, but become visible when exposed to a beam of long wave ultraviolet that is sufficiently intense to cause visible fluorescence to appear o the marked article. The final product is not damaged in any way allowing non-destructive quality control and automation. Risk Reactor carries a vast array of fluorescent inks. We have inks that will mark any substrate. Our specialty is creating invisible (clear) inks that are virtually undetectable in regular light but can be seen only under long wave black light activation. Applications for such products are security inks, anti-counterfeiting inks, marking personal property, catching thieves, sting operations, and theatrical. Below is a general guideline to follow: Invisible Permanent Ink: An ultra thin ink that will mark just about any surface. These inks are water clear, very strong under black light and are made with relatively strong solvents. The coating itself that is produced by the ink is absolutely invisible due to its ultra thin film. You can use these products for marking tools, metal objects, computer boards, just about anything. Applications such as quality control, process control, ownership, tagging, assembly control, and product proof. Please note that you should mark a small area first to test desired result. Very durable marking ink for Plastic, Metal or Paper that appears Clear, Except under a Black Light. This Product Produces a Coating that is Wear Resistant and Adheres to just about Any Surface. Risk Reactor's All Purpose Marking Ink is Used in Product Identification, Ownership, Quality Control, and other Applications where you Need to Invisibly Mark a Surface for Later Identification under UV.
IF1P Series Solvent Based All Purpose Black Light Ink (Non-Film Producing) Risk Reactor's All Purpose Ink is a Solvent Based Ink that Dries Very Fast and can Adhere to most Surfaces Including Plastic. These inks do not leave a Film like the All Purpose Marking Ink and are used in the Manufacturing Process, Product Identification, Sorting, Process Control, Brand Identity, Tamper Resistant Labels, and Anti-Counterfeiting Applications.
Automation in Scanning: The purpose of scanning is for automation. The scanner verifies that an invisible mark is either absent or present and causes some action to be taken based on the signal. The action taken obviously depends on the application, but could take the form of sending a product on a selected path in a conveyor system of to trigger a subsequent processing operation. Invisible marking is also used where marks need to be placed on multicolored surfaces that make automating scanning difficult because light from the background prevents a clear signal from being received by the scanner. It also can be used to guide manual operations as in garment fabrication using black light to guide cutting and sewing. UV Invisible Non-Porous Ink: Our fluorescent non-porous inks are water clear, abrasion resistant, and produce a strong brilliant fluorescent color under black light activation. These products actually produce a coating that is water clear on the desired object. Applied thin enough you will not even see the coating itself. Our inks are used to mark metal, plastic, wood, concrete, marble, rocks, just about anything where you need a strong, incredibly durable invisible mark. Used extensively for sting operations, ownership, and product proof.
