In the kind of world that we live today preventing counterfeit can be difficult but with a UV black light you can verify the item in an instant. You can identify the authentication of important documents and items such as currency, bank drafts, bankbooks, passports and certificates. There are handheld black light lamps, torch lamps and UV counterfeit detectors. In order to determine the best fit for you it is important to take into account the UV light irradiation and intensity, ambient light levels and process integration.
365 nm Light is used for:
Forged document detection
Salmonella and Shigella bacteria detection
Drivers licence UV markings
Dye penetrant inspection (NDI/NDT)
Magnetic surface analysis
Counterfeit currency detection
UV Curing (requiring 365nm)
When the wavelength decreases you will get two things. First, the contrast is improved and second the price of the LEDs increases pretty steeply. If you have a wavelength specification from the supplier of a dye product, then follow their recommendation and let us know what that is so we can help. The more LEDs, the more UV power is emitted (with the exception of the super xLamp models, where each LED die is very powerful by itself). For applications where you require multiple wavelengths in one unit, for example white, blue, and ultraviolet, then look at our multi-wavelength selectable units or send us your requirement specifications.
