Risk Reactor's Black Light Long Wave Yellow UV pigments are used in security and tracing applications. It can be used for other applications but the expense usually keeps it in the security and tracing realm. The organic fluorescent pigments can be milled finer. The inorganic black light pigments are crystal like materials and can be damaged by milling.
These pigments are neutral in color, with a white to off-white powder appearance, and are not noticeable when incorporated into security inks, fibre and papers. When irradiated with UV light (black light), these pigments will emit fluorescent light of yellow, green, red, blue colors and are immediately identifiable. Some of the common applications are in postage stamps, currency notes, credit cards, lottery tickets, security passes, etc.
